
Desmond Lamont "Desi" Relaford, born on September 16, 1973, in Valdosta, Georgia, is a former professional baseball infielder and current manager of the Danville Otterbots.

Relaford graduated from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1991, where he earned all-state honors in baseball.
Relaford was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 4th round of the 1991 MLB Amateur Draft. He made his Major League Baseball (MLB) debut on August 1, 1996, with the Philadelphia Phillies. Over his 11-season MLB career, he played for several teams, including the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals, Colorado Rockies, and Texas Rangers.
Known for his defensive versatility, Relaford played every position on the field except first base and catcher. Notably, he pitched a perfect inning for the New York Mets, recording a strikeout and throwing over 90 mph. Throughout his career, Relaford maintained a batting average of .243, with 40 home runs and 308 RBIs.
After retiring from professional baseball, Relaford transitioned into coaching. In March 2021, he was named the manager of the Danville Otterbots, a team in the Appalachian League.
